Random thoughts ...

02/28/08: happy leap year. I get to stay a day younger this year :) life is going well. just been super busy with work and life.

08/09/06: it's been over a  year since I last posted. I  just updated the views page and figured I would update this too. not that anyone actually reads this.

I graduated from FAU. life is pretty much the same. I did a couple of road trips and even traveled outside of the country twice. I went to China, Japan, and Hong Kong.

I went with a friend. we visited the village I was born in. visited my grandmother. the great wall, the forbidden city and others.

My uncle - the confirmed bachelor got hitched is going to be a dad. my cousins are having their 4th baby.

08/05/2005: Let it be known world... that in less then 7 days -- that's right... 7 days.. I will be a college graduate. i will be graduating from FAU in Boca Raton, FL  with my bachelor's degree.. go me!!

07/14/05:  I am auntie with glasses to another nephew! weeee! Joey is such a cutie pie. It's also great that there is no jealousy between his older siblings either. Compared to baby Joey, Jack and Viv seem so big.. :)

06/10/05 yesterday was my friend ludy's birthday. for the first time ever, i remembered it on her birthday. i usually just give her a gift in the beginning of the month of june because i couldn't remember what day it was on. haha... i am so tired. my head hurts.  i also cant wait till graduation. i am so excited that it's happening.

04/26/05 - sorry for not posting in such a long time. life has been hectic, with me trying to finish school and busy working. on April 24th, i learned some news that devastated me and caused me so much pain that it was almost unbearable.  but it was what i needed to move on with my life. i will never forgive this person and he has died in my heart since i already died in his long before he and i were over.

i really need to try to post more often.

i am still going to the gym daily, unless i over sleep or something.  so that has been going well.

tomorrow, i am going to dinner with a bunch of friends from work and their family. it should be fun :)

09/01/04 - Wow.. Hurricane Frances is scaring me.  Apparently all the stores in Broward and Dade are selling out of water, plywood, and generators. I am not scared about the material things.. but about the people.  The family that I am closest to are all in Florida.  I hope we make it out ok. *Pray for us*

On  a lighter note, I have officially been caffeine free for 4 months.  And today is the 5th consecutive day that I have gone to the gym.

08/31/04 - I have owned my car for officially 3 months now and it already have over 5000 miles.  Every mile has been incurred from driving to and from work and school. I can't wait till I am done with school. I want to be in NYC now so I can watch the Republican Convention.

7/2/03 - Wow... it has been a long time since i have posted a thought.  the summer session is finally over. and i am taking it easy for  a little bit until the next term.  i really dislike school. i don't feel like i have learned anything important at all.  the stuff that i learn at work is more relevant to every day life then classroom learning. 

Anyway, i just wanted to wish everyone  a HAPPY 4th of July!!! 

4/22/03- yesterday i saw my economics teacher wearing the loudest of yellow ties. and i made a smart ass comment like, "wow, that's a really loud tie" he responded with a chuckle and said "it matches the guy" he's a cool teacher. rambles a lot, but none the less, cool. my friend tauni and i are both taking economics 2 with him.

i wonder if i can make it through the day w/o caffeine.  i never realized that i was drinking so much.   but i was. at least a can of diet coke or pepsi a day. most people like either or. but i like diet coke if i have ice and diet pepsi if there were no ice.

4/21/03- yesterday was delightful. i made my dad a birthday lunch.  his birthday is technically on weds. but with the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we decided to celebrate sunday instead.  on saturday, my little sister and i went and bought 10 lobsters. i had this notion that maybe my parents should try to have lobster that is prepared in a different way then they are used to.  my sister baked a delicious sponge cake  with fresh fruits too. it was great.

so i decided to make stuffed lobsters.  good idea!  they were a huge hit.  everyone got a lobster that was stuffed with seasoned breadcrumbs and imitation crab meat.  i have this strange feeling that i will be asked to make that again. 

i also drove to boca to drop off the easter baskets that i made for my niece and nephew.  they were a big hit too.

i read something on line that makes me want to take somersizing for real.  i think i might start a journal or something..on line of course.i also just convinced my friend Aime to do this with me. hehe. i hope we don't wuss out.

sheesh. dieting sucks.  but suzanne somers calls it a lifestyle change. not a diet.

4/18/03- *sigh* a few weeks ago, my friend lisa was going to come visit and we were going to go to keywest but she had a ticketing conflict. it's too bad. i was looking forward to it.  

i need to get my dad a birthday gift too.  it's hard to buy someone a gift who already has everything. perhaps, i will get his favorite thing- maine lobster.  i'll see what strikes my fancy when i go shopping saturday.

everyone keeps asking me what i want for my birthday, which is coming up soon too.  i, too, have almost everything i want.  i am very impatient. if i see something i like, i usually buy it.  so, this makes me the hardest person to shop for.  but, i do have an amazon.com wish list.

but in the last week or so, i have decided to stop spending so much money and buying crap and start saving for the future.  

4/17/03- I thought I would start jotting my thoughts and such down. 

Today was a cool day. For lunch, 3 of my co-workers and I went to Costco. It was the first time for one of the guys with us.  He thought it was a gift shop or something.  We bought two chickens, a Greek salad, croissants (freedom buns), and seafood salad.  We came back to work and had a feast. It was great fun. And a lot cheaper then going out to a restaurant.

Physically, I am feeling very tired. I guess I happen when you never get enough sleep.

I am off this weekend.  I am excited about that. I plan on doing scrap booking this weekend. This morning I thought about taking a road trip to St. Augustine, but realized that it was Easter weekend.  I wanted to be around when my little niece and nephew got their Easter baskets.  I made those baskets myself.  All the store bought ones had way too much junk and not enough toys and such.  I filled the Easter basket with some candy, not a lot, and toys and cartoon socks, sidewalk chalk for the girl, sandbox toy for the boy etc. I am sure they will love it.  At least I hope they will.
