February 28, 2008  7:45 PM: I decided to stop at the Dillard's store at the Coral Square Mall after work tonight. I walked directly to the shoe department, looked at the sale rack and picked up 3 pairs of shoes. A pair of brown boots, a pair pair of brown flats, and a pair of black flats. I sat down to try them on, I tried on the boots first, so I sat down the two pairs of flats on the chair next to me, with my purse. I get a call and was holding the black flats, describing the flats to my sister because I was going to buy them for her. Some lady in a red sweater rushed away as I was holding onto the shoes and said "let me see these." so I said, I am going to buy those. She said, "I need to check on something" and like a minute later, she tells me that "they are not on sale and costs $85" and leaves with them. At this point I hang up the phone and was so appalled that I went up to the counter and asked for a manager. The gentleman said that she was off, so I asked for the name of the woman in red, and he called her out for me. I asked her if she realizes what she did was very rude. She claims that she didn't know I wanted those shoes. I reminded her that she grabbed them out of my hands and that I stated I was going to take them. I asked if she thought I couldn't afford the shoes, she retorted with 'You don't know my thoughts." So I said, "clearly you weren't thinking." She then claimed that she didn't hear me and didn't want to argue and that she was just cleaning up. There were piles of shoes everywhere, she had to "clean up" where I was???? And how dare she treat a customer like that? It was 7:43PM when this incident occurred! The store doesn't even close for another 1.5 hours. And there were like 2 other customers in the entire shoe department.

The RUDE woman's name is Stacey, according to her name tag. I have never been treated with such disregard at a Dillard's before. This entire experience has me very upset. I am so offended by the way she grabbed the shoes out of my hands and acted as if I could not afford a pair of $85 shoes or whatever her 'thoughts' were that made her to take them out of my hands. At no point during my conversation was a price EVER mention with my sister. So I do not know why this woman felt the need to grab the shoes out of my hands.  This entire experience has left a REALLY bad taste in my mouth. It makes me think twice about shopping there again.  I normally wouldn't say anything, but the way she just grabbed them from me really upset me.

December 11, 2007:A little over a year ago I dropped off my car at the  vista BMW collision center. Melanie was my service advisor for that incident.  about 10 months after the repairs were done, the wood panel trim fell off... and when I inspected the piece it looked like someone in the body shop glued the piece back onto the door that was supposed to have been replaced.  so this event prompted me to call Melanie to bring my car in for repairs because I thought repairs had at least a year  warranty. There were two other issues that bothered me about the repairs too.. but they were sort of out of sight, out of mind.

One of them being the extra clicking the back passenger door  handle does when the door is opened.  the other being the  noise in the car when traveling at a high speed.

So Melanie tells me that she  would have to call the insurance company and that I should to expedite this. so I called response insurance co. And the adjuster advised me to tell BMW to call the claims appraiser, which I did. and for the last 3 months, I have been playing phone tag with Melanie or when I actually am able to speak to her, she tells me that she is still waiting for the claims guy to call her back.  

This lack of service is unacceptable. I am just asking for them to fix 3 minor issues. and I am getting the run around.  I would never buy a car from any division of vista as a result of this experience.

August 8, 2007:  My parents have a house in Philadelphia. And as mention in last year's post, we have had to deal with the tenants and property manager from hell. We hired a lawyer by the name of Kenneth Baritz to represent us in the eviction hearing. He charged over $600 to handle a simple eviction. But he wasn't able to get the tenant out. We had to fly up for a re-hearing during February of this year. In which the court made a judgment for us. But the tenants appealed and the lawyer charged us another $2100 for this case. But the day before our June 18th hearing, Mr. Baritz called and said that the case won't go to trail because the court made a judgment for us and that the money the tenant had to pay the court as escrow will be returned to us. Kenneth L. Baritz advised me to call him in a month to check on the refund of this judgment.  So I called him in July, left 3 messages, and no one called me back. It is now August 8th, I have called Mr. Baritz and left messages with Todd, Vicki, and Heather, who have all assured me that they will personally hand the message to Mr. Baritz.  But I have yet to get a call back.

We have lost enough money. Why doesn't Mr. Baritz want to call me back and advise me how to get that judgment? He is a terrible person to deal with. He is always short on the phone and never wants to answer questions. I wish I didn't listen to the person that recommended Mr Baritz. It turned out to be nothing but a waste of money. Most lawyers I heard were able to get the tenants out with one hearing and cost less than $300. Please choose your lawyer wisely. Stay away from Kenneth L. Baritz and Associates.

August 2, 2007:  Toscana Ristorante Pizzeria  -- 6201 W. Sunrise Blvd Sunrise, FL 33313 ::: Last night, my family and I had the misfortune of eating at Toscana Ristorante Pizzeria. We went there because my sister's boyfriend purchased a gift certificate off restaurant.com's website good for $25 off a $35 purchase.  But I will get to that later... we placed our drink orders and then our food. Our waitress was this little teenager who had no clue how to be a waitress. She wasn't able to answer any of our questions regarding portion sizes, how many slices on a pizza, etc.. She served us our appetizers without giving us our utensils.  She asked me what kind of barbecue sauce I wanted with my buffalo wings! (!!!!) mind you, we were the only table.  My sister discovered that the mozzarella sticks she ordered were still frozen in the middle.. and when we got our check, my sister's boyfriend handed the waitress the certificate... and she proceeded to get all ghetto and say "Nuh uh! we don't accept that! Some old couple tried a few days ago and we don't accept that!"  so we asked to speak with the manager, but was told that he wasn't there.. she walked away and came back minutes later, saying that the manager is on the phone, so my sister's boyfriend went to explain what happened, to which the manager hung up on him.

The waitress the proceeds to say 'In this age, I can't believe people are ordering food off the internet." To which I informed her, that we didn't order food, we ordered a certificate. She walked away and sent her friend over to tell us that they won't accept the certificate BUT couldn't tell us why.. we had not choice but to pay our full amount. and my sister and her boyfriend tipped that idiot . I wouldn't have given her a penny. She was rude and didn't deserve a tip.

To add insult to injury, we saw roach traps all over the front window. 

Rude Service - both staff and management

Bad Food - cold fried mozzarella sticks, burnt pizza, small portions

Dirty Dining - roaches

May 11, 2007:

International Satellite Communications (as stated on my phone bill) charged me for a 5 minute collect call from Mexico to my phone.
first of all, I do not know anyone in Mexico. Therefore why would I accept any collect calls from someone there?
I am the only person who has access to my phone.

I tried to call them and spoke to a 'Mark Jones' who said that he was the supervisor. when I explained the situation and he said that someone had to accept the call for the call to go through. I told him no one could have and that it was impossible. he told me that there is nothing they can do. that $43.92 charge includes a $15 connection fee, and $5.99 a minute. I asked if he could take anything off the charge as I do not know anyone in Mexico and have never spoken to anyone there. he said no, to contact his boss, Jason Mays at:

So I called back, this time, I spoke to a Daphine Miller who told me to call them back in 30 days because they will investigate the charges and will let me know the status of it. But that I would be given a credit only if I called back in 30 days.

What kind of business is this? Wow to they 1. justify charging someone that much money for a call from a country where I know no one. 2. There seems to be other complaints about them on the internet.

Bill Sell is still giving us the run-around. he  is so incompetent.

I am considering legal action. I can't tolerate dealing with him anymore. it causes me way too much stress.

He makes excuses for his inability to do his job.  Since you have to pay for his services, you might as well use an agent that is really looking out for your best interest and not someone who lies and is completely incompetent.

Over the weekend, I got a renewal notice in the mail from Bally Total Rip-Off Fitness.

So, being concerned, I went to the gym and asked how come I got another renewal.. and the girl was like.. oh no.. your account is good till March.  so I asked her why March when I didn't renewal until July?  So she told me to call: (562) 484-2980 to find out.

so this morning I called and spoke to a "Shannon" who was useless. Read on for more details.

I hate Bally.
Those jerks are ripping of off -- 4months to be exact.
because they have this lame policy that states that your account does not get renewed when you pay -- but when your contract expires.

So for example -- your contract expires in January and you pay for the renewal in November.. you ONLY get two months of use before the account expires. But you are paying for a full year.


when my membership expires -- I am not going to renew again.

I called the customer service line and spoke to so fucking idiot named Nicole storey who
told me a story.. and refused to give me the 4 months that I lost.
she was so rude too.. started raising her voice at me.

So I asked for a copy of the policy that states that this is how bally works and she told me there is not written policy. WTF?!?!

it's not like I even go to the gym a lot.
they definitely make money off of me..
And my entire family has had a membership for almost ten years!!!
I don't like getting cheated.

I got lousy service I got at 'south Florida vision centers' located at:

 I got my eyes examined for contact lenses back in June of this year. But with my crazy work and school schedule,  have not had time to go in to pick up my trail lenses, until today, when I was told to go into work at 2pm.  Which allowed me some time during their business hours to go get them

So, I walked over after I went to the gym. the rude receptionist there was terrible -- she accused me of not paying my co-pay
 so I was like.. I know I paid. because every time I have rendered service anywhere.. that required a co-pay, it has always been collected at time of service she accused me of trying to get out of paying my co pay and called me a liar and a cheat basically
 and was plain rude.

I will never be going there again.
